Terms of Use
These terms apply when you read FarBeacon at https://farbeacon.com. They are written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain language.
1. What this site is
FarBeacon publishes free guides for people living and working abroad: sending money home, visas and residence permits, and everyday practicalities. Everything is free to read. There is no account, no login and nothing to buy from us.
2. Information, not advice
Our guides are information. They are not financial advice, not immigration or legal advice, and not tax advice. We are not a bank, a money transfer operator, a licensed adviser or an immigration agent, and reading this site does not create any professional relationship between us.
Decisions about your money and your residence status are yours. Before you act, confirm the current rules with the provider, the regulator or the government office that actually holds the authority — every guide links those primary sources for exactly that purpose. See our disclaimer for the plain-language version of this section.
3. Figures change, and we date them
Fees, exchange-rate margins, transfer limits, processing times and visa rules change — sometimes monthly. We check every figure against a primary source before publishing, we show the date it was verified, and we update guides rather than letting them go stale. Even so, a figure you read here may have changed since that date. Treat the verification date as part of the fact.
4. We are not responsible for other people’s services
We link to banks, transfer services, regulators and government portals so you can verify what we say. We do not operate them, we cannot fix your transfer or your application, and we are not responsible for their content, their fees, their decisions or their outages.
5. Advertising and any future affiliate links
This site may carry advertising. Ads are supplied by third parties and their presence is not an endorsement — we do not choose which advertisers appear, and an advertiser never influences what a guide says. If we ever add affiliate links, we will label them clearly on the page where they appear, and the underlying guidance will not change because of them. See our privacy notice for how advertising cookies are handled.
6. Using our work
The text and the original diagrams on this site are ours. You may quote a short passage with attribution and a link back. You may not republish whole guides, and you may not use this site as training data — the full terms, including the conditions we set for AI answer engines that cite us, are on the copyright and AI use page.
7. Corrections
If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us — a correction with a source link gets fixed first. That is not a courtesy, it is how the site stays true: z@zdimension.co.kr.
8. Liability
We publish this site in good faith and take real care with accuracy — our methodology describes exactly how. But we provide it “as is”, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from decisions you make after reading it. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited under the law of the country where you live.
9. Language and changes
The English version of these terms is the authoritative one. Guides are published in several languages; this legal text is not translated, because a legal document translated without review would say different things in different languages. If we change these terms, we will change the date at the top.
