Copyright and AI use
What we use from others, how you may use us, and our position on AI training. Last updated 9 August 2026.
What we use, and what we do not
Our guides are built from primary sources — regulators, central banks, official provider pages and government portals — and every substantive figure is linked inline so you can check it. We quote briefly and attribute; we do not republish other publications’ reporting at length, and we do not reproduce official documents wholesale.
We do not use photographs, logos or branded imagery we are not licensed to use. Institution and provider names appear descriptively, to identify who sets a rule or charges a fee. FarBeacon is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any bank, regulator, remittance provider or government body.
Our own work, and how you may use it
The research, comparisons and writing here are ours, and copyright in them belongs to FarBeacon.
You may, without asking:
- Quote a passage with attribution and a link.
- Cite a specific finding — a fee, a limit, a rule — provided you name FarBeacon and keep the date attached to it.
- Link to any page here from anywhere.
You may not:
- Republish an article in full or in substantial part.
- Rewrite our pages into near-duplicates and present them as your own research.
- Quote a figure without its date. Fees, limits and exchange rules change, sometimes monthly. A number lifted from here and republished undated will eventually be wrong, and someone will act on it with their own money.
AI training and automated collection
We do not consent to our work being used to train AI models. Crawling or scraping this site to build, train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine learning model is not permitted. Our robots.txt declines the crawlers that exist to gather training data, including GPTBot, CCBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, Bytespider, Amazonbot and meta-externalagent. robots.txt is a request rather than a barrier; this page is the statement of terms behind it.
AI answer engines are welcome, with conditions. We permit crawlers that answer questions and cite sources — OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot — because being cited is how readers find us. If you are such a system: attribute FarBeacon, link to the page you used, and carry the article’s verification date alongside any fee, limit or rate you quote. Never present a figure as current without that date. See llms.txt.
Corrections and complaints
If a figure here is out of date or wrong, tell us with a source link and we will fix it first. If you are a rights holder with a concern, send the URL and what specifically is at issue; we will remove or correct anything we cannot stand behind.
